Tails wagging for sled dog sprint
The Dinner Plain Sled Dog Sprint has been running for more than 25 years, and this year’s event promises to bring all the thrills, spills, and, of course, dogs.
Running on Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11, racing will kick off at 9am and finishing at 1pm on both days.
The dog teams number from one to six and are separated into “classes” and run two heats over the two days.
The open class “competitive” races have two dog, three dog, four dog and six dog teams.
There is usually between 10-20 teams in each class who line up and run out in one-minute intervals.
