IRONLINE CHANGES DIRECTORS, SETS DATES FOR 2017 EVENT

The IronLine sled dog and Fatbike races will have new directors in 2017. Adam and Amanda Kicker (from left) will take over from Grace and Josh Brindle, who are planning to relocate to Alaska. The Brindles were the directors of the IronLine since its inception in 2013.

Since its inception in 2013, the IronLine sled dog races have had one pair of race directors. That will change in 2017. The original race directors, Josh and Grace Brindle, have stepped down and have been replaced by another husband and wife team, Adam and Amanda Kicker. Josh Brindle made the announcement at a special meeting of the IronLine on Aug. 2. The dates of the 2017 race were also announced. The event will be held the weekend of Jan. 27 and 28. Josh Brindle explained that he and his family are going to relocate out of the area and are looking at moving to Alaska. “We feel like this is a calling in our lives at this point,” Brindle said. “It will take a few more months before it comes to fruition, at least.”
