10/4/07: Message from Kathy (McCully) Kruch

A lot of people know Mike as a head strong, very focused sled dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to know him as a good friend. There was a time when I was going though some rough edges in my life and Mike and Shirley where there for me. Mike helped me with my house and with my dogs and they both helped me stay in the sled dog sport, (something I really love) at a time I thought I would not be able to. I remember him calling me to see if I was ok and giving me a hard time about not getting out there to train. He would say “You can do what you like but it’s all a matter of priorities Kathy. If you going to run dogs you have just do it!”

I was shocked to here about Mike; he was such a strong and determined man, the kind that could go the distance. I can’t help but think he is out there...motivating someone to get off their butt and do the things they are just talking about doing.

Shirley, I cant think of anyone who deserves peace and love more then you, hold on to your faith and the people in your life that love you so very much.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. This is a hug for ((((((((Renee))))))).

Love, Kathy (McCully) Kruch
Alger, Michigan

10/1/07: Message from Brandy Murrell

Mike Wolf was my dad. His death took us by surprise. He was the smartest man I ever knew. He loved my mother dearly and enjoyed the sled dog community so very much. He has taught us so much about family importance and doing what you enjoy.

I still wish it were a dream. My mom would like to express her gratitude for the many thoughts and prayers that have been sent via e-mail or mail.

Brandy Murrell
