Forty gallon fuel capacity. AC throughout cab and cargo area. It has a sleeper cab. (sleeps two comfortably. Fridge and stove. Temperature sensors, vents, fans, extended ac ducts to cargo area.

It holds ten dogs comfortable and will eventually have a bunk in the cargo area. It has room for a large toboggan sled, scooter, training cart and can also accommodate our ATV.

Other amenities are in cab fire extinguisher, tire chains and road safety kit in case of breakdowns, tool chest

Exterior lighting has been added and enhanced. The truck has a sound system, Television with DVD/VCR player, CB Radio. GPS and Onstar and ON-CALL weather radio

Future changes are Exhaust Stack and improvements on drop chains.

We use the truck to shuttle our guests to trail systems, give presentations, get hay and feed for the other critters on our farm. We’ve found it’s sufficient for s three day outing.

Dinner Plain Sleddog Tours,
Victoria, Australia

2011 Nissan Navara 4x4 turbo diesel, 5 speed Auto transmission.

We can carry 14 dogs plus storage, with room on the roof for two passenger / freight sleds. There are exterior lights running from an independent 12 volt system.

Doors are vented with lockable interior mesh doors. Body made from 2” insulated cool room panels.

We run sleddog tours in the Victorian Alps and the truck has so far worked well for us.

Ferrante 2015 Truck Upgrade

Lani Ferrante, Keahi Siberians, Washington

Our 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega cab was outfitted with a flatbed last summer giving us the perfect platform to build our 12 dog capable dog box!

The box is completely custom built by my husband, myself, and good friend Mike Hinkle. The box is constructed out of FRP and capped with aluminum angle. Plenty of interior storage space. Exterior lighting and sled rack to come!
