The "Pretty Sled Dogs" of North Wapiti

86 minute DVD featuring the PRETTY SLED DOGS of NorthWapiti Kennel
as they prepare for Iditarod 2005

Donna Quante (3 time Emmy winner for camera operation) has produced an interesting, enjoyable DVD following Karen and Mark Ramstead's journey toward the 2005 Iditarod.

Excellent videography documents the "Pretty Sled Dogs" love of their job as sled dogs.  It also points out Karen's pride in her Registered Siberians, who are not only sled dogs, but also conformation show dogs...the only Siberian Husky kennel in Canada to have attempted and completed the Iditarod Trail Dog Sled Race.

We enjoyed the "inside" coverage of the many details required to participate in Iditarod...preparing dog drop bags, vet checks, training to peak at the right time and many other considerations for those who dare to live the Iditarod dream.

Karen's love and knowledge of her dogs shines through at every turn. History, training and the excitement of the race will captivate the viewer. Informational and entertaining, this film is for everyone in the family.
