E-mail address: cmichaeles@yahoo.com
Phone: 716-655-6990
Experience: I started in dogsledding with the acquisition of our first Alaskan
Malamute in 1997. I have become increasingly active since then but have only a
small three dog team (our Rottweiler doesn't pull with the 3 mals anymore). Most of
my mushing is recreational, but we just won our first race last weekend (the Yankee
Alaskan Malamute Club Freight Race, novice division). I have also been involved with
the Alaskan Malamute Rescue organization in New England before relocating to western NY.
Eventually, I would like to develop an Alaskan Malamute breeding kennel. One
of my lifetime goals is to finish the Yukon Quest, but at the moment I am somewhat
distracted by the fact that I am in the first of three years of a Cardiology Fellowship
Program in SUNNY-Buffalo. I am by no means an expert, but I am more than willing to
help others learn about a sport/lifestyle that I love dearly. We have malamutes, but
I love working with all dogs. If wisdom is gained from learning from past mistakes,
perhaps I might just be an expert after all.....
