Experience: I have been running sled dogs since 1977, getting serious with the
addition of my wife in 1989. We have 23 adult Alaskan Huskies, 10 yearlings and 2
puppies. I have raced the Empire, Esslinger, Mid-Minnesota, Up200, Wildcat Marathon,
Iditarod, and the Beargrease 11 times. My wife has raced the Empire, Mid-Minnesota, UP
200, Beargrease mid-distance, and Hinckley stage race. Our main goal is to race a happy
dog team. We have received the "best cared for" team award three times. At our
kennel, the dogs come first!!!. Getting ready for Iditarod 2001!!!

Experience: I have been racing distance and mid-distance for 9 years and have had
a very successful career. We have raced in the John Beargrease Marathon, 190 and 100, UP
200 and Midnight Run and also many other races. We have been honored with receiving
the Best Cared For Team award four times. Our kennel is relatively small , but our
philosophy is, it is better to have Quality dogs and take care of them properly than to
have Quantity of dogs. We have had a great training program that has worked well and

Experience: We have 10 Alaskan Huskies. My husband has been doing
this for over 15 years. Originally he took a class on it in Community Ed and then went
with a musher on a race trip and then he got his own dogs and has been doing it ever
since. We currently mush on our own property in Oronoco, but recently took up the dryland
sport and competed at the Byllesby Dryland Classic in Cannon Falls. It is a super fun
sport for all ages!

Experience: We have 5 years of experience at mushing. We run 8 Dog to
open classes and we own and race mostly Alaskans and we have a couple Siberian

Experience: Al & I have been involved with raising, training and racing AKC
Siberian Huskies for over 30 years. We've raced all sprint classes as well as
middle distance events including a triathlon. We were involved in the production of
the Iron Will movie - Ann as a full-time trainer - as well as providing dogs for the hero
and his father's team. Ann, with training partner Jamie Nelson, currently teaches Mushing Boot Camp which focuses on the basics
of training sled dogs.
