Conditions:

Despite all the challenges with the weather earlier this season, the First Annual Markstay Warren Challenge the Champ Sled Dog Race was a huge success. Hundreds of spectators came out to the Warren arena to witness the fastest sled dog teams compete for the $10,000 purse put up by local supporters.

Temperature hovered just above the freezing mark on Saturday with overcast most of the day. It was very humid and times were a little slower than Sunday. Although temperatures stayed way above the freezing mark most of Sunday with a beautiful sun (plus 5 Celsius), the trail was faster because of its hard snow base and the cold temperature over-night.
