American Dog Derby

Conditions:
The Race course, which normally starts and finishes in town, had to be moved 12
miles out of town to run entirely on forest trails. Regardless of the changes, we had a
very successful American Dog Derby.
Friday's weather was foggy with rain and snow mix at lower elevations and wet snow at upper elevations, temperatures were in the 30's.
Saturday was foggy with temperatures in the 20's but clearing and warming to the low 40's by end of race.
We had a special visit by Idaho Governor Kempthorn and Lloyd Vansickle, Dog Derby Champion in 1937 and 1938, as well as may other years.
