This was the 12th annual freight race and weight pull put on by the Minnesota Malamute Club. We are an event during the Coon Rapids Snowflakes Days. The weight carried by the dogs was 50 lbs. per dog. The different breeds entered were Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Huskies, Samoyeds, German Shepherds, Pointers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.
Once again all the volunteers and National Dog Food made it a wonderful event. Some went home with trophies, the rest went home with prizes and pleasant memories.
Conditions:
Saturdays weather was filled with heavy snow and a nice temperature of 15F.
Sunday was sunny and balmy with 25F.
