when all you get for christmas is a roll of rope and you say its the best christmas ever.
when you call the wife and ask if the dogs have been watered so you can take them out.
when you spend more time with dogs than people.
when your friend tells you he got a new truck and you say so i got a new puppy.
when you go to the bank and ask for a loan so you can buy a new sled.

you can not find a nick name for your child because you used up all the good names by your newest dog litter.

When the lint trap on your clothes dryer is always half full of dog hair - regardless of what kind of load just went through.

When you are driving down any road, any time of the season, notice a trail off in the bush and you look over to your spouse and say "now that looks like a good dog trail"

Thats a good one. I use to do that but look at it as a trail that needs to be put in.

*When you turn on your computer and all the icons, screensaver and wallpaper has something to do with sleddogs...(like my pc)
*When you are logging on to internet and the startsite is sleddogcentral.com or another sleddogsite.
*When the race results are more importen to check than the news.
*When you are asking your boss and wife if it's ok to them that you are only 25% into this world because you are training for Iditarod or NAC.

Happy trail out there...

Oh thank doG I thought it was just me!

*You're not comfortable in public unless you're holding a dog
*You take a tape measure to the car dealership to see how many crates will fit (as the salesguy is rattling off the 'great features' I break his spirit by saying, 'So? It's only going to fit 2 dogs and there's no roofrack for my sled!)
*Most of the photos in your house are of the dogs
*All of your bookmarks are sledding/working/dog related
*There's more food in the house for the dogs than for the people.
*They're eating raw, I'm eating Ramen
*All of your friends are in dogs, those who aren't fell by the wayside as they no longer have anything in common with you!

When you ask your boss if you can change your work schedule for the week because it is supposed to rain on a training day but it will be sunny the next day...

another sign of addiction
1.when you clean the garage so you can put up pens for your bitches and their pups-- the car sits in the rain.
2. the dogs go to the vet for every little problem-but you dont go unless somethings broke

When you still rather be outside with the dogs feeding, playing, scooping poop, and hanging out at 38 below instead of in the house where its warm.

When you go to a check point just to see how the dogs look coming in and then going back home to run your own dogs.
