On the weekend of October 15-16, 2016 Paul Reid, owner of Chocpaw Expeditions passed away. Paul has been in the dogsledding business and world for 40 years and has touched many people within the dogsled community. He has been a teacher, mentor and guide to many people starting up their own dog sledding dreams both recreationally and for business.
He was battling with an infection in his foot due to diabetes. This past week Paul had the foot removed. Additional complications occurred after the surgery. He died in the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, in the company of his wife Marg Reid.
As for Chocpaw Expeditions it is business as usual. Marg inherits the business. Keri Buttle will help Marg run the business. Together with the amazingly competent Chocpaw staff team we will continue on.
In regards to Paul’s wishes, he did not want to have a funeral.
