The annual meeting of the International Sled Dog Racing Association was held June 24-26, 2016
in Buffalo, NY, USA, hosted by the Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club.
Election of Officers for the Board of Directors was conducted for the 2016-2017 year. Rob
Downey was elected as Chairman of the Board, taking over following retirement of long-time
COB Ted Roeder. Duane Dittmar was elected Vice Chairman, Margaret Harvey as Treasurer, and
Danae Bryar as Secretary.
With the announced retirement of ISDRA’s Executive Director Dave Steele, an Acting Executive
Director was appointed. Margaret Harvey was appointed as Acting ED until the position can be
permanently filled.
Mr. Steele will continue as technical support for the ISDRA website, RaceWorks timing,
bookkeeping, and points systems.

Other action taken by the Board of Directors during the annual meeting was the hiring of a new
Editor for ISDRA’s “Dog & Driver” magazine, to replace outgoing Editor Annie Hammond. At the
Sunday General Membership meeting, it was announced that Laura Hayes will be the new
