Re: Training Trails in Southern California

Sorry, can't help you on So. Cal, but in Nor Cal we run on snow mobile trails. Just about anything with a snopark allows dogs generally.

But it's important to train your team to stay on the right because dog teams aren't all that common and most snowmobilers aren't looking for them...and often drive too fast to boot.

Most 'official' x-country ski trails aren't keen on dogs and they are prohibited because they mess up the trails. Kirkwood and Royal Gorge are exceptions for skijourers but only on certain days.

You can find a list of all the snow parks in CA at: http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/html/Snoparks2.htm
