"Other than the diarrhea and not eating and drinking, they are acting normal." Consider all three of those things are extremely important factors in the ability and well being of a sled dog. Bloody diarrhea that is frequent is a major sign of a problem. I do know that some people have had an occasional problem with blood in the stool during high stress running, but it is still considered a warning sign of something being wrong. Combine that with diarrhea and it's a big problem. You also weren't specific enough for anyone to really help you out other than only the most general advice.
Diarrhea, lack of appetite, and lack of thirst to some degree, can all be signs of poor diet, medical condition, parasites, over training, etc... I think the best bet would to make certain that the dogs are parasite free. If so, then take a strong look at diet. Too much fat, not enough fat, low quality diet, etc.. Too much fat will turn a dog off it's feed, and give it diarrhea, especially in warmer temperatures. Not sure about the drinking thing, but certainly possible. Do you bait water?
If you are honest with yourself and believe you are feeding a sufficient diet, parasites are not the problem, not over training, then I would assume it is something medical. Possibly a virus that was picked up at the race you were at recently. The best way to deal with the problem is to rule out possibilities one at a time. The first thing I would look at is diet/over training. Then parasites. Then a medical reason.
