I am training a six dog mid-distance team. A month or so ago all of them came up with diareha, but only on the trail. They usually will have one normal bowel movement while running, but then subsequent ones get runnier and runnier and sometimes bloody. I wormed half of them, but that didn't help any. I thought it might be stress, and we raced last weekend. Now, I have one that will only nibble at his food and won't drink at all and two others that are drinking very little. Other than the diareha and not eating and drinking, they are acting completely normal. They have seemed a bit more worn out on runs, though I cut the mileage down to about 1/4 to 1/2 what they were running and half as often. I've also spent a lot of extra time just playing with them and giving them some extra food. But they seem much more excited and rowdy in the kennel, howling ten times what they used to. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks KJ
