I find if I try and supplement calories with more kibble, I get diarrhea. I want to give the dogs an additional snack after a 20 or 30 mile run, so to get max. calories/energy without loose stools, I feed them meat at that time. Also, its a nice special treat, something different for the dogs to look forward to after a good workout.
