This is an excellent forum in which to discover many attitudes and opinions related to mushing and dogs. If you are looking for a deeper understanding and relationship with your dogs, the book "Conversations With God" by Neale Walsch could be your ultimate answer. I am not a religious person and am not a fanatic but this book is changing my life. One of the most amazing things is the new relationship I have with my dog-team. Got dogs that like to take off? I had them, don't anymore. Have dogs that listen to commands as if by magic? I never did, but I do now. Basically, you can have whatever you want, if thats what you want. Apply this to dog teams and you have a winning combination. A guaranteed winning formula. I'm not saying that this book will produce miracles, only that it could and has. At any rate its an interesting book that puts a neat spin on the age-old quest for spiritual awakening that all of us crave in some way or another. Don't look at this posting as a religious rant but as a tool that can be used to maximize your human-dog relationship!!!! Happy Trails..............................
