I have noticed a few people mention using betadine. It is great stuff, but also, realize betadine will dry out the pads, which may lead to dry, cracked pads. But since you are diluting it, the effect of drying won't be as great, but be aware it does dry out tissue and can cause damage to tissue if used to repeatedly.
