If your booties are flying off, you probably aren't tightening them enough. But then you have to be careful not to make them too tight, thereby cutting off the circulation. I know how this sounds...not much help, right? But basically, I've found that just doing it, I know what's not too tight, etc. Tape is alright, just a hassle to change booties out.
Also, check the type of booty. If your booties are too short, they may be hard to keep on. On the other hand, if they are too long, you can get snow down in them, causing abrasions. Best bet, get those black booties, and practice. Good luck! :o)
