First, I eagerly await the articles about overflow and foot care. I've never considered mushing up a frozen creek before, and as regards foot care, I have one Husky that slacks off on gravel and bolts on sand, true to ajm's words about the correlation between paw problems and running. I swear, the true mushers on this site; JM, jake, Callahan, ajm, DH, Jen, Old Musher and others that escape me at the moment, heeding your advice I may one day be a real musher myself. If you ever want to know how to Telemark behind your dogs, I may be able to help, but otherwise... thanks all.
Second, I've always run a fan hitch with two or three dogs. Its easy and I can pretend I'm really mushing my dogs. Now, I just tried two wheels and a leader and I always have to hold back the wheels to get the leader lined out. God, when it works, its a dream, so much more power, but it doesn't happen often enough so I'm considering running one wheel and two leaders. Any ideas?
Third, regarding paw care, booties I've used ALWAYS fall off. I've resorted to using the horse ankle wrap tape on occasion. Good idea or bad? I worry that the ankle wrap tape is too tight.
Cheers, and thanks again for all the invaluable bandwidth coming through on this discussion group.

PS Mike Callahan, are you going to run the Cascade Quest this year? I'd love to bop down and cheer you on... not that you need it though. Thats my old stomping grounds!
