It is fun when you get a good run. We are training on a mountain road right now. We are about 800 feet up and have to go up a couple of steep grades to get to our place. I have a Geo Tracker and we are using that to train with right now. I hook up 12 dogs and off we go. We have had some really awesome runs lately up and down that mountain. the dogs are getting really strong. They are getting help up the mountain but are going about 10 miles an hour with the brake on when we are on the straight areas. I put a dog on this last run that we thought we were gonna have to give away. She had been starting fights with the other females and we were tired of it.. I had given up on her. But, I gave her one last chance and put her in wheel. What an awesome run i got from her.. she wanted to run .. she did not even look at the other females or even consider a fight. I love this dog and it was breaking my heart to have to give her up.. Now i will get her fixed and keep her. she will eventually get to go back to a team position. It is fun when you get a good run and the dogs seem to love it even more. It is still amazing to me what these dogs can do.. I am nervous about putting this team on a sled LOL after pulling 3100 pounds i can't even imagine what i will be facing on a sled LOL.. we shall see.. but they are getting really muscled up and soon will be ready for the for the distance.
