Well I'm no expert by any means. I just think that it's probably already been tried & discarded. One difference between skies & sleds is of course the build. A skier might ski on one ski, but the sled has two runners that are parallel. The scandinavians tend to be miles ahead of us in sled tecnology and so far I haven't seen them come out with wide runners. If they do and they prove to be faster, you can bet we will be the first in line to get a pair. I would just talk to lots of people. Someone will probably have a more accurate answer than I do. Really I rely on my husband to find out all these things. You can see him at any race checking out equipment and asking questions. I sometimes wonder if there are any more questions to be asked. Talk to some of the old timers that have been around for 50 years. You wouldn't believe some of the things that have been tried in the past. Besides they usually have some great stories.
