HI there, I would like to add that I am not in any way against a way of life in Alaska by its native population. I am fully aware of how they have lived for hundreds of thousands of years. I think the thing that really got me was the way the Press has sensationalized this problem. It is done in an effort to initiate emotional responses from people in order to alleviate the situation momentarily. I guess my emotions got a bit carried away. It would seem that it would make more sense for us to petition the government for better fishing methods to allow the people of this great state to live the way they have always lived. My heart goes out to these people and I am sure that the press has made more of the situation then what really exists there. we shall see. I am not broke DH i am not rich.. so that makes us poor. LOL.. we are living the Alaskan life and making due with what we have and not with what we don't have. I take great care of my dogs and make sure they are well fed and cared for. We will be taking on more dogs as we get rid of ones that are not going to make good sled dogs. I have 4 on my lot now that were given to me and i can't use them. I want to find them fantastic homes. in their place i can put 4 more dogs. so it is a balanced situation for us. I will never take on more than we can take care of.. debbie
