In the lower peninsula of Michigan, just about 20 minutes from the bridge is Wilderness State Park. There are lots of good trails, and cabins along the trails. If you dont mind breaking trail there is an awesome run around the point, with plenty of good camp sites. I do this once a year, and go there to run the trails several times each year. This is geared more towards a 3 day trip, but could be more. Snowmachines are not allowed on most trails, and out on the point, which makes for a great weekend. Also: In the upper peninsula, check out the Porcupine Mts. There are cabins and lots of trails, some of which snowmachines are allowed on, some not. I haven't thoroughly explored this place, just about 20-30 miles of the trail system and 2 of the backcountry cabins (35.00 per night).
good luck, if you choose Wilderness let me know swampdogz@yahoo.com
