I had a blast running the dogs tonight. My 4 year old grandson came out & ran with us. He has his leader all picked out for the one dog class. He showed up at the truck dressed as a real musher in snowsuit, hat & gloves. He looked more like a giant marshmellow than any thing.
Then we ran our puppies. We've been putting one up on the way home with our old leader. Tonight we put two in front and they ran home. It was cool to see two puppies running in lead. The puppy team is really looking nice. The other dogs are looking good too, but I'm really enjoying the pups.
How are the rest of you guys doing with your runs? Any stories you need to tell? It was also nice tonight as it wasn't raining. No mud puddles and slop to deal with. Temperature wasn't too warm. Perfect fall training with the leaves turning and the weather cooling. We're working a lot on new leaders this year. Every run we have at least two leader trainees. We keep them rotating. Hope all is well with your training runs.
