It`s called crabbing.If the dog has too long of a leg it will crab so that it's rear legs will not clip its front legs,nothing you can do about that.But, if it is built o.k. put the dog at wheel(easier to control centerline) make sure your centerline is at dogs elbow,(you may have to lower your bridle on some 4-wheeler& rig hook ups) put the dog on the opposite side and preferably next to a dog that runs tight to the centerline or even one that crabs to the opposite side. It takes a while to work & its a pain in the ass keeping the dog on its side, but the dog will then be able to be muscled correctly. Yes this crabbing usually takes place when your going slow unless ,like I said above, legs to long for back. Hope this works for you, it has for me many times.Good luck
