Hi gang. Most of you know i was concerned when my dog would not eat during her pregnancy. Well that is cause she was eating fertilizer on the side.. She had 8 healthy puppies and all are doing well. Taku is thin but will recover well. We did get a runt but he is thriving and growing. What a joy it is to have puppies. I might add that we have had no sleep as she decided to have the puppies in our bedroom versus the whelping box and also refuses to move them. we are getting many sleepless nights. we have aptly named one of the pups Rooster cause he sounds like the whole chicken coup. All are strong and in great shape. I long for the snow. I hate this blasted rain and can't train well up on our mountain road cause of the conditions up here. ugh.. anyway.. looking forward to the season. Hey Jim, sorry i have not written in a bit. we have been busy with puppies and salmon. We were given so much from Judy Merritt in Moose Pass. what a blessing. freezer is full. We are still looking for about 6 more dogs. I need leaders.(ha who doesn't???) I have 12 strong dogs now running well. have to get rid of several dogs. oh well. such is the life of a musher.. lol talk with all of you again. debbie
