A couple of days ago I ran my team ( 8 ) for the first time since about June. ( its been way to hot here in the 90's, and that day it was about 50 )Now my question is, I ran them up some hills down some others, They were never pulling anymore than their weight as I was on the ATV and I didnt want them pulling any weight being so long since they have run. Anyhow We were doing that and then started up a pretty large hill ( they had already been down it ) and a couple dogs were giving out. I stopped to drop then and they had only gone about 2 miles. My dog handler blew up at me for being inhumaine to them. My question is, was this to much? They were not at a full run the whole time, and they still seemed excited to go after I dropped the 2 that were giving out ( pregnant bitch and a neutered male ). Needless to say I did drop them all and took them home.I want to know if what I did was right or wrong, or indifferent. Any help would be appriciated greatly.
