Galena Spring Carnival Open Sleddog Race
Galena, Alaska
March 21 and 22, 2003

Conditions:
Trail conditions were good on the both days with a race trail that was mostly well
packed snow with some "punchy" sections, and somewhat improved on the second day
of racing. On the first day, a mile of the trail near the end of the race was soft where
the wind had blown in and drifted snow. Temperatures were cold +5 F at race time, had been
cold at night -15F, and that made the snow a little "slow" for traveling.
