Does anyone feed Inukshuk Pro 32/32? Results?
Also, the price is great but freight to Montana-yikes. Anyone in Montana or nearby interested in a pallet or 2?

We do feed Inukshuk 32/32 most of the year. It works very well for our high energy crosses up here in northern Maine. The lighter coated dogs that tend to be "hard keeping" look great right through race season. The dog's fur is as soft as a rabbit and there is very little "clean up." We couldn't be happier with it. We were laughing the other morning how it even hits the pan with meaning!
Getting it can be the hard part for us too sometimes - but we find that it is well worth it. Feel free to email me directly if you want to know more. Lindy

We have been feeding Inukshuk for over a year now and are really pleased with the results we have been getting. The dogs had loose stools for a while when we first started feeding it but I think that was because we didn't get the balance right.
We did a trial between Inukshuk, Native and Redpaw over the winter and the dogs on Inukshuk maintained their weight and condition better than all the other dogs in the kennel. We are now just feeding Inukshuk exclusively because we were so pleased with what we saw this last winter.
We are also pretty lucky in that it is produced only a few hundred miles away so shipping rates to us are pretty competitive.

I'm probably going to give it a try, I've not heard anything negative and the price is definately right! But I sure would like to find someone on Montana/Northern Idaho that would like to order with me. I plan on ordering 3 pallets, if we can get a couple more then the price for freight will go down significantly. Anyone interested contact me privately for costs. twilambaker@gmail.com |

| Excellent food, excellent price. I combine it with seal meat in the winter and get great results even when the thermometer dips. I had some loose stool when I first switched as a previous post mentioned, but they quickly got adjusted. I have had better luck with this than redpaw and it is much cheaper. My only complaint which is minor is that the kibble is quite small so when they wolf it down without water they get the chokes and the small size also means that in a good wind it can blow away if your scooping it out on the ground. |

I thought it was great but recently have tried Momentum. Very pleased with it as well. I fed First Mate for 10 years and what i noticed is that Momentum is larger and floats. The First Mate and Inukshuk don't float and are about the same size. I also noticed that Momentum absorbs water faster than the others. I guess this might be because the othe two are more dense and to contradict the comment above, they would be heavier and not likely to blow away (however... we don't usually get enough wind that food blowing away is an issue around here).
I would currently feed any of the three if price was not a concern. |

| I've fed a lot of the top foods and haven't been happier than when I switched to Inukshuk. I was feeding Momentum, but found it was inadequate for our hard keepers - no weight gain and loose stools no matter how much or how little I fed. I've had to back off how much I feed the same dogs with Inukshuk. |

I responded to this post back in June but want to say again that we have never been so happy with any dog food ever as we are with Inukshuk. Not a day goes by that we don't comment on how great our dogs look! Can't say enough good about it! Lindy |

Like Evan said, Inukshuk is much better than anything I fed before. Heavy training without meat. Good stools, way ahead of Momentum. I highly recommend it. Lou |

| Whats the deal with availability of Inukshuk in Maine this season. I was told by a salesman that it would be easier for me to go pick it up than to get it shipped?? That doesnt seem to cooincide with how the "work" with mushers |

I am feeding ProSeries Performance, which is the retail baby brother of Inukshuk from Corey Pet Foods. They are located outside Fredericton, New Brunswick, near Maine (contact: adrian.mcnamara@corey.ca). My feed store gets it in. It is great - good coats, good stool, good weight The higher grade Inukshuk, as I understand, is only sold direct by the 65 x 15 kg bag container/pallet.

| If the Pro Series Performace you are getting is 32/32 it is the same as bying it by the pallet. It is just bagger as pro series to keep packing cost to a minimum instead of having varitions in bag size and design. I order 2 skids at a time at the 65-15kg size and it is packed in the pro series bags. |

The ProSeries Performance is 30% Protein/25% Fat, so not as high as Inukshuk. But my dogs live inside, so it seems adequate (along with some supplemental chicken, fish and meat fatty bits a few times a week). |

I finally gave up and went with Blackwoods, the 2000 for off season and the 7000 for running. Great product, but the price!! Yikes!! It's breaking the bank I'm afraid.

Q- There are some other, more affordable options that are available in Montana. Distance Dog Food is very popular in this area, and can be had from $27-30 a bag, depending on when, who and where you get it. Also, Musher's Brand Dog Food is available here as well. The distrubutor for Blackwood also distrubutes Musher's. It comes in around $27 per bag. Both are great, high caliber foods, and much cheaper than Blackwood 7000 |
