Hi, Bonjour
I guess I'll write in English !!!
Boygeyman was kind of a cheaper "copy" of Extrapole and I guess it didn't work. Extrapole closed and this is over !!!
BUTTTTT
The original designer of the Extrapole sleds, Daniel is back on sled business it may be couple of years before you see a CRAZY FRENCH sled but wait it will come...

Hey, MIKIYUK, I looked at your dogs on your site, are they from R.Jaskolinen, they look a lot like Reijo siberian... nice dogs. Some fo our friend have some of his dogs in France.

BYE, SALUT

Nooksack Racing Team has a Bogeyman sled. It is a very light, very, very fast sled for hard packed well groomed trails. We run 6 hard driving 65 -70 lb Alaskan/pointers and it handles like a dream on the hard packed fast trails. Most of the trails where we race in New England are not hard packed and fast and therefore we cannot always race it which is why Roy may think we do not like it.
We actually love it for the right kind of trails , similar to what we have seen in Europe.

I am agree with stitchwitch.
Here on Scandinavian trails Bogeyman's sleds are fastest and more competitive sleds.
I mushed with a fiber 2 stan long bed and it is a really great pleasure to feel this sled. Impressive on turns and acceleration, very easy for dogs.
I never try it on bad snow but I think this is not for its better perform but I know some mushers on long races use this sled with very satisfaction and good results.
I think its better qualities is to adapt with same result to small team as 4 to long team as 14 and its fastest sliding.
I think its better drawback is that it is long and difficult to have the sled well in hand because its fast behaviour but after that's my favorite sled.
I am not agree with Magali.
This sled looks like the extrapole sled but it is absolutly different on trails. Very slighter, very more speeding up and very shorter on turns without speeding down.
I think Extrapole sled are better for one sled use and easyness but I think Bogeyman sled are better for competitive use.

Stitchwitch- What is your reason for only useing it on hard packed trails? What sled do you drive on the punchier trails? What is the cost of one?

Hi,
You can see prices and features on the web site of Bogeyman company (www.bogeyman.org and following CATALOGUE link).
If you want to know how is these sleds on bad trails you can mailing to one of my friend which use them on long race : hirrmeier@gmx.de.
Some of czechoslovak or russian mushers use them on bad trails too.
I think for me, this is not the best for these sleds, they are especially for packed snow.
Now there is a new model with one carbon stanchion but I do not know it and it is really more expensive.

On Quebec Melanie Bellerive got a short bed sprint carbon sledge and Claude Bellerive got a long bed carbon sledge from Bogeyman plant.
They are very good mushers but a lot of people tell me they had be very amazed by their sledges.
It seems the sledges are very exciting but no for slow trails and very difficult to handle. People tell me that the runners have very high sensitivity and very high bending before and during accelerations so the sleds get swiftly speed up without musher control. They said that the dogs are like with no sled behind them.
I never try these sledges, I spread about my friends talks.

The Bogeyman sprint sleds are extremely light at about 14 LBS and lighting fast. Christine at Bogeyman calls it a " crazy, nervous sled" and reccomends it for very experienced drivers. The runners have a great deal of camber to them so little surface touches the snow thus causing less friction. The front of the runner where it attaches near the headboard is almost like a shock absorber and has spring to it. On hard packed trails with the right dog team, it would be hard to beat. In softer snow, and drifting it doesn't track as well. Also, on really rough mogally trails it can really get tossed around. But given the right conditions, we use it in the 6 dog sprint class. You can see it a www.bogeyman.org We also race with a very nice Chatmac Cheetah that handles beautifully in all of the condtions we have used it in.

I tried French Bogeyman sled past winter in Italy. I am sure it is lighter and fastest sled actually but it is really expensive.
That sled is only usable on competitive sport and only with good experience.
More than, it is delivered with no equipment (no dog bag, no holder...) and it is no possible to reduce the taxes when purchasing.

Danler sled is delivered with equipment, it is cheaper and you can use it for competitive sport, fun or training. You can reduce the taxes when you buy it.

Those sledges are made with carbon fiber. They are uncommon on am-leisure races or spare time mushing because selling prices are high.
I never try those sledges but I met some mushers who race with. They said they are fatser and most competitive sledges now.

Contact Christine at Bogeyman info@bogeyman.org. She should be able to ship the sled with DHL fairly reasonable. E mail me privately if you need more info, we have a Bogeyman Sled.
