is it safe to give frozen raw turkey skins to my dogs or do i have to boil it someone told me they have salmonella and give dogs diarrhea is this true

We feed raw frozen poultry skins to our dogs as trail snacks...they also like it when we soak it in warm water...makes a nice broth they drink it right up...never had a problem
