Hi all,
Anyone know the manufacturer of the harness in the picture on the top of this webpage?

| Interesting harness! I've never seen anything like it before. Looks comfortable, but somehow lacking.. I don't know, support from the sides to give stability to a working dog? Really neat looking though. |

| I'm not sure of the maker of these, but I liked them when I saw them on the Polish team at the World Championships. If you find out please let me know. |

Tried the harness few years back, was not impressed. Innovative at that time. Unfortunately the design had some flaws.

Ivana Can you tell us what the 'flaws' were IYO? WOuld love to know. As I'm sure many would. This is all for the good of innovation, rather than 'bash' anybody's stuff. Thanks Looks like they are $28 USD converted. |

| I would think that there would be a lot of upward pull on the dogs ribcage. Just my two cents. |

Great, thanks Spacemtndog!
I have been looking for a similar style harness as I am having a few specific problems with a couple of dogs that I cannot solve with a manmat hound or regular or wheel dog or taiga collarneck - these are the makers I most often use and like. This looks like the style I would like to try on these dogs.
What were the flaws you found?
Thanks, Jessica |

The harness did not "hug the body" the way it should. The rear end was too loose, difficult to fit. The front (chest) piece was very stiff if used in cold weather, sharp edges, could rub under arm and on the rib cage. I still have the harness, so I looked at it again. And it confirmed my experience with it from few years back.

I don't know what your specific issues are with your dogs but have you tried a buggy harness? Perhaps you could start a topic on the issues and people could help you solve? |

| Fits really well on my dogs, no problems yet and it allows houndier dogs to coil in full gait. I heard it through the grapevine that there is an Iditarod musher using them this year, this could be a turning point! |

Does anyone(or preferably multiple persons)on either side of the pond have a thousand or more miles, or a few seasons of experience with this type of harness on a variety of dogs ?
As Roy said no bashing just real discussion on the Pros -.vs- Cons: power, speed, fatigue, balance, harness rubs, slippage, etc.
Veterinarians usually don't weigh in on new equipment til they see if new ailments or maladies appear. (IE if it is suppose to prevent pressure on the hips, 1000 or more miles later is there front shoulder or other issues.
Are the any mushing veterinarians with extended experience with this type of harness ?
Roy what split chest are you using ?
