I have a 13 YO custom-built basket sled with laminated runners with QCR plastic on the bottom. The crack is perpendicular to the top and base of the runner. The top lamination of ash(?) is now separating from the underlying lamination.

Suggestions for repair?

If you are racing or commercial, replace it. If only recreational glue it or put in a scarf joint. Reinforce it with a much longer bracket on top.

Fire wood.

I actually wouldn't repair it after 13 yrs. I'd simply get new runners.
