Posted - 07/16/2012 : 4:22:37 PM I have a ten year old siberian, she is a rescue that was thrown from a car years ago, so I'm guessing she is about ten. She recently came down with pyometra. She had a complete hysterectomy done and recovered quickly. However, she started to lose her fur. I thought at first that she may be licking at some sore spots. I took her to the vet and they told me she did not appear to have any skin condition or allergic reaction. She also had no parasites. But they did say that she would probably lose her entire coat, which she pretty much has. She does have a coat underneath. Could this just have been from a shock to her system from the anesthesia?
