I run a team of six dogs in the off season. Also, I am using the motor on the 4X4 so they're not working so hard. I'm just trying to keep their muscles toned. We run no more than 2 miles and take a swim to cool off. I make sure their coat is soaked through. Be careful of hot pavement! Even a short distance can damage their feet! Have fun!
