My vet, who I trust and respect, told me not to use the Ivermectin Plus for my dogs...He feels comfortable with the CATTLE Ivermectin (liquid) but said he would NOT be comfortable with the Plus. I give my dogs their dose right on their food, as most of them are good eaters. ( The only dogs that I have to make a "peanut butter sandwich" for are two of my bitches who are fussy and erratic eaters...) I do have a couple of musher friends who use the equine paste, but when I asked my vet, he said that with the liquid, you are able to regulate the doseage better than with the paste. Everyone seems to have their own way of doing things and you have to live with your own choices. I've noticed that if you ask ten Vets the same question, you will probably get at least 5 different answers. The same seems to hold true with mushers, everyone has an opinion. I count on my Vet and the mushers I admire for their dog care (and sense) to help me make decisions for my dogs.
