I found this info in some race rules and copied PASSING: If a team comes up behind you and calls "Trail", stop or slow your team and allow the other team an unobstructed pass. Please cooperate and do everything you can to help them by. Don't let your dogs jump into another team or bite other dogs - dogs that have been bitten or frightened by another team during a pass will often begin refusing to pass. Don't stop on a curve if you can avoid it. This makes it hard for approaching teams to see you. If your dogs move across the trail and block the team passing, MOVE YOUR DOGS! If you have caught up with another trail user and wish to pass, use caution. Plan ahead and try to pass on a straight section of trail. Be ready for the unexpected. Not all users will be well-versed in proper passing procedures
